13th Colony Sound supported its own hometown youth chorus. Formed in 2009 by TCS director, Jeremy Conover, Savannah Storm first competed at the 2010 Midwinter Convention in Tampa Bay, Florida and became Plateau A champions, winning 7th in the overall competition.
Savannah Storm continues to play a successful role as part of the ongoing youth movement of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Savannah Storm has sang its way into the hearts of the newly formed Carolinas District.
Several Savannah Storm alumni have gone on to pursue degrees in music. Many of these have also formed quartets at their colleges. Two Savannah Storm alumni formed Georgia Southern University's barbershop chorus, the Southern Gentlemen. One of these alumni, Colin Harrison, returned to direct 13th Colony Sound.
