Every year, 13th Colony Sound engages in numerous events in and around the Savannah, GA community. We have three major events we put on for the community each year: Singing Valentines (in mid-February), our Summer Show (in June), and our Christmas Show (in December).
AC-CENT-TCHU-ATE – The Magic of Mercer
The clock turns back to June 13, 1970, when Johnny Mercer returns home to Savannah for an on-air interview with WBYG’s Mel Mixon, well known as the Daddy-O of Savannah Radio!
From over 1,500 compositions spanning four decades, Johnny selects his favorites to spin for a live audience. Life has been a wild ride for Johnny, who shares his inspirations and the relationships that took him from humble Pin Point origins to acclaim as the most sought-after of twentieth century lyricists.
13th Colony Sound Choruses and Quartets present the very best of Mercer in the a cappella barbershop style, as a tribute to Savannah’s Favorite Son.
Sweep your sweetheart off her feet with a Singing Valentine! We will send a quartet directly to her, the “heart of your heart,” with two songs in the barbershop harmony style, a rose, and a personalized card from you.
All your favorite Christmas songs sung in four-part harmony—what could be better than that?! Elvis even made an appearance!
